Google is designing the operating system primarily for netbooks that is becoming very popular among consumers that are primarily interested in surfing the web. The Google's Website is based on the search giant's nine month-old Web browser called Chrome. Chromes goal is to create simple user experience with no interruptions. They also want to make it simple for the average user to experience.
How will this effect the education system and classroom use? For the classroom the students will be able to use it quit easy by clicking bookmark pages. Chrome holds the history so if it has already been searched it will remain in the history unless delete. Chrome is a built for the internet browers today. Chrome will make the education world of surfing the net for information quicker, cheaper and with a lot less hangups which is something for people who does not use computer everyday.

Paush's Last lecture
Randy Pausch was he a professor and teacher but he was also a friend and mentor to his students and colleagues. In his Last Lecture he shows us his teaching methods of being down to earth, funny and personable while teaching us something. He is so involved that we do not know that he is teaching us something and this is what he calls his "head fake." The whole time he was teach8ing he was doing a "head fakes" and that was to relay to his listeners and viewers how to lead their lives.
I think that the most lasting teaching technique of Randy Pausch was allowing his students to achieve their dreams, this was his whole goal as an educator. He created a whole course called Building Virtual Worlds that teaches the students to carry out their childhood dreams. They could create any type of world that they wanted. Pausch said that these projects were outstanding and eventually became a campus wide experience. He also wanted this class to be about the groups bonding together as a team. Another way of fulfilling students dreams was creating a whole degree program known as the Dream Fulfillment Factory which was a 2 year professional masters program that teamed up artists and technologists. It was about small teams making beliefs about freedom and success. Amazingly companies guaranteed that they would hire these students after they finished. Paucsh's most lasting professional legacy was what is known as ALICE which was a novel way of teaching computer programming to children. Kids were allowed to create movies and games while they were learning. This was another one of Pausch's "head fakes."
I also think Pausch wanted to teach his students to stick with what was called "brick walls." These brick walls are obstacles that we all must face when trying to achieve something. Brick walls ask us the questions that we need to achieve something in everyday life like "how much do we want something" and this shows other that we do not give up that we keep trying no matter what is taking place. Mr. Pausch faced many brick walls in his lifetime while trying to achieve his goals. One of these brick walls was that Paush was not accepted into Carnegie Mellon University.
Pausch is trying to teach lessons to the students and even non-students on how to live your life. He relayed these to his students, friends, family and colleagues and to everyone who has watched. Not only does the lesson teach the students not to give up but it also teaches them to help others, and have These are lessons that Pausch showed on a daily basis. On Apple’s web site at http://www.apple.com/education/mobile-learning/ iTunes U is described as “the campus that doesn’t sleep.” It is noted that today’s students expect constant access to information. The company touts an “Apple Ecosystem” which encourages institutions of higher education to purchase their computers, mobile devices, etc. from Apple. The company attempts to entice teachers and professors by encouraging the use of iTunes U to “connect with your students in ways they already love.”

Karl Fisch's Blog
Reading the post titled, Is It Okay To Be A Technologically Illiterate Teacher from Karl Fisch’s staff development blog for Arapahoe High School, I have mixed options about the statements that were made within this blog. There are a lot of teacher that have been teaching for a long period of time, that did not grow up using computers in the classroom everyday. In today's society it would be advantage to the students now days for every teacher to try and learn about the basic technology.
I believe that the older generations teachers think that it is okay not to know about the technology that is in today's society. They believe that they have done without it this long for teaching why try to learn and teach with it now. If a high school or college student does not know the means of using a computer they are going to have difficulties in school due to the fact a lot more material is presented through the computer than ever before. I do believe that students should start in the elementary school learning how to use programs on a computer. Between school and jobs somewhere along the line everyone will use a computer. So learning the basic of a computer I believe must be must within the school system.

Previous Podcast
I listened to one podcast that were done in Mr. Wakeman's EDM 310 class in Spring of 2009. The one I listen to was Shift Happens. It was a well done podcast but a few things came to my attention. One mistake that stood out at me was the students sound like they were just reading striaght from a card and they did not know the material. Voice level was another factor that came to my attention. One student would be to loud then the other would be soft. These are just a few mistakes that I heard within this podcast that could help me make mine better.
The other podcast that I listen to was from Mr. Wakeman's spring class also, it was Last Lecture of Randy Paulch. In this podcast there were times I didn't know what the podcast was about due to the fact that they went right into talking and did not mention their topic. As in the other podcast they sounded like they were reading instead of know the material needing to be presented. There is a lot of mistakes in both of these podcast that I could learn from not to do in my own.

This web site is a program that allows students to take advanced placement courses that is not offered at their school. This web site gives students the opportunity to go above and beyond to achieve their goals outside of their school.
There are varies benefits for students who choose online learning. Students will get instruction from highly qualified teachers who are provided with multimedia and technology tools for effective teaching. The students will interact with the teachers and other students that are taking the course. On the ACCESS web site it also offers interactive video conferencing courses. SmartBooard Lesson Podcast is a system that is delivered by teachers.Lessons focus on using interactive whiteboards in the classrooms. The smartboard gives the lessons for the week and the students and teachers are able to have a conversation with each other. Smartboard allows the them to also converse with each other in different classroom.
Kidcast is a companion to the book,” Kidcast and Podcasting in the Classroom” by Dan Schmit. Dan goes on to tell about his life and also give the lesson for the week. There is pointers on how to add music, sound, etc to a podcast.
EdTech Talk is a group of teachers who is interested in learning more about technology withing the classroom. The listeners can use any media player available to listen to the the podcast and then they can make comments within the chatroom. EdTech Talk uses old and new technology to communicate with people and for them to learn and experience through technology.
Connected Learning Network is a distance learning center that is based on the web, this web works directly with corporate trainers, technology training centers, college faculty, K-12 teachers and administrators. Connect Learning help the connections with tutor and students. The Connect Learning virtual classroom extends education and training to students where technology is avliable . The online classes let students connect with real live audio and video which consist of the learning environment through technology.

Hi! my name is Hollye Galloway, I am from a small town called Bay Minette, Alabama. I am here South Alabama for Elementary Education. After this summer I have a year left YAY!! I have changed my major 3 time, I began with Elementary Education switched to nursing and now back to Elementary Education. I just love to be around children they inspire me to want to teach. I love to run and workout, spending time with my family, and going to the beach.
